About The Course
The Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate Course is designed to provide aviation radiotelephone knowledge, techniques, and qualifications for ground operations and aircrew. This includes helicopter hoist operator aircrew, rescue swimmers, loadmasters, and drone pilots operating in restricted airspace or near helicopter landing zones. Many emergency services personnel, such as police, fire, and ambulance, are also required to hold the licence. Helicopter landing officers and landing zone coordinators for remote and offshore landing zones require the licence. Lastly, and most importantly, airports and airlines ground crew. With the AROC licence, you will be legally allowed to communicate via VHF airband radio during your normal course of duties and tasks within the aviation environment.
Successful graduates of the AROC course are awarded and issued a CASA Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate which can be used to demonstrate competency in other regions worldwide to attain a local radio operator licence.
